Billing

The leg total is computed once. The invoice line already exists.

Every leg's total is base rate plus gratuity, tolls, parking, wait time and extras, minus discount, and when the leg completes the non-zero parts become invoice lines on the billing account, immediately or batched at period end. Rates live on rate lists keyed by vehicle class; rate groups rotate rate lists by month so a peak-season sheet applies itself. Every dollar that moves is a transaction, and balance due is always recomputed from that ledger rather than edited.

What billing covers today.

  • Rate lists and rate groups

A rate list holds one rate per vehicle class with its base, late-cancel and no-show rules. A rate group schedules which list is live in which month, so the holiday sheet turns on in December and off in January.

  • Billing accounts and groups

A billing account carries terms, a rate list and the invoices. Groups let a corporate client with six departments be billed as one or as six.

  • Invoices that build themselves

On leg completion, each charge type becomes a line: base, gratuity, tolls, parking, wait time, extras, discount. Late-cancel and no-show fees arrive as their own lines from the status change.

  • Card collection

Collect a payment against a booking from the operator app or at portal checkout with Stripe card entry. The transaction is recorded and the balance due recomputed in the same call.

  • One ledger for money

Charges, credits and refunds are transactions. Loyalty redemptions post as credits. The booking balance is never typed; it is the sum.

  • Reports

Trip summary, revenue, driver performance and AR aging, with export. Overdue invoice reminders go out daily at 08:00 in your timezone.

RoadmapStripe Connect onboarding and webhooks, so each operator's card volume settles into their own Stripe account automatically, is on the roadmap. Card collection in the UI is built today.

Asked on most demos.

Can I bill a corporate client monthly?

Yes. Set the billing account to batch and invoice lines accumulate until period end. Per-trip invoicing is the other mode.

How do seasonal rates work?

A rate group holds a schedule of rate lists by month. The public portal and customer rates resolve through the group, so the right sheet applies without an operator changing anything.

Does liverybook take a cut of my payments?

No. liverybook is priced per office seat. Card processing fees are Stripe's, on your own account.

Bring your rate sheet. We will load it in the demo.
